Temporary Maintenance & Cleaning Operative
Pay Rate: 13.45 per hour
Contract: Temporary (Minimum 6 Weeks)
Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week
We are seeking a reliable and flexible Temporary Maintenance & Cleaning Operative to provide cover for holidays, sickness, and other staffing requirements.
This is a hands-on role involving a variety of outdoor cleaning and general maintenance duties to ensure public areas are kept clean, safe, and well-presented.
Key Duties:
- General maintenance and upkeep of outdoor areas
- Outdoor cleaning and litter removal
- Setting out and managing waste bins
- Maintaining cleanliness across designated sites
- Responding to cleaning requirements as they arise
- Cleaning and removal of bodily fluids, including vomit, in line with health and safety procedures
Working Hours:
- Up to 37.5 hours per week
- Typical shifts are:
- 11-hour shifts (including a 1-hour unpaid break)
- 8-hour shifts (including a 30-minute unpaid break)
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to carry out physically demanding duties
- Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is desirable but not essential
- Awareness of health and safety practices is advantageous
This temporary position is expected to last for a minimum of 6 weeks, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate
