External Governance Project Manager
6 month contract (potential to extend)
Remote - (rare occasional travel required)
Rate: Circa £500 per day via Umbrella
We’re supporting a large, forward-thinking organisation delivering a major programme of work around external governance and strategic planning — and they’re looking for a confident, hands-on Project Manager to help drive it forward. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly formed, high-impact team where you’ll take ownership of coordination, planning, and delivery across multiple workstreams.
💼 What you’ll be doing
- Managing and coordinating activity across a complex governance programme
- Acting as the central point of contact for planning, updates, and changes
- Supporting weekly planning meetings, tracking progress via Kanban boards and task updates
- Managing risk reporting, ensuring visibility and appropriate escalation
- Producing clear, concise reporting for senior stakeholders and programme meetings
- Leading on the planning and coordination of senior-level activity (including board-level roles)
- Keeping multiple workstreams aligned, on track, and moving forward
✅ What we’re looking For
- Solid project management experience in a structured environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and presenting updates
- Experience with risk management and reporting
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving programmes
- Experience using tools such as Microsoft Planner / Kanban-style tracking
- A proactive, hands-on approach – someone who can “get stuck in”
